THE PARISH BOARD OF VERNON PARISH LOUISIANA, CONVENED IN SPECIAL SESSION ON NOVEMBER 27, 1990, at 2:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the Administration Building, 201 Belveiw Road, Leesville, LA  President Harvey called the meeting to order and on roll call the following members were present:

ABSENT:

There was also present Mr. Sammy L. Hinson, Secretary of the Board.

The meeting was opened in prayer by Mr. Kenneth Baggs.

The pledge of allegiance was led by Mr. Don Goins.

Superintendent Hinson read the attached Call Notice:

On motion of Mr. Gunn, seconded by Mr. Dowden, the Board voted to give official notice of a special election to be held January 19, 1991 for a one percent sales tax according to the adopted proposition and revised ordinance.

Mr. Baggs abstained.

Superintendent Hinson clarified the position vacancy announced on November 13, 1990.  He stated that the minutes of November 13, 1990 should be corrected and reflect that the position will be for Supervisor of Instruction with adult education certification required due to part of the salary being funded from the adult education funds.  On motion of McKee, seconded by Mr. B.R. Harvey, the Board voted to make the correction and clarification on the position vacancy announced in the November 13, 1990 minutes.

On motion of Mr. Goins, seconded by Mr. Baggs, the Board voted to adjourn.
