LEESVILLE, LA

MARCH 23, 1989

THE PARISH BOARD OF VERNON PARISH LOUISIANA CONVENED IN SPECIAL SESSION ON MARCH 23, 1989, at 10:00 a.m.  President Goins called the meeting to order and on roll call the following members were present:

DON GOINS, PRESIDENT

ARVIL HARVEY, VICE PRESIDENT

ALVIN C. DOWDEN, JR.

B.R. HARVEY

C.A. HUGHES

BENARD MCKEE

WALLACE MCRAE

ABSENT:                               W.W. PARKER, OUT OF TOWN

                                                KENNETH BAGGS, OUT OF TOWN

                                                PHILIP GUNN, OUT OF TOWN

                                                MURPHY O'BANION, OUT OF TOWN

There was also present Mr. Sammy L. Hinson, Secretary of the Board.

The meeting was opened in prayer by Mr. Arvil Harvey, Ward Three.

The pledge of allegiance was led by Mr. Philip Gunn, Ward One.

Superintendent Hinson read the following Call Notice:

Dear School Board Member:

We have been notified by Mr. Lonnie Bewley, bonding attorney, that a finalization of the refinancing of the school bonded indebtedness is necessary.  Therefore, we will meet March 23, 1989, at 10:00 a.m.

On motion of Mr. McKee, seconded by Mr. McRae, the Board voted to adopt the attached resolution pertaining to General Obligation Refunding Bonds of Ward Seven:

On motion of Mr. Dowden, seconded by Mr. Burns, the Board voted to adopt the attached resolution pertaining to General Obligation Refunding Bonds of Ward Two, Hornbeck:

On motion of Mr. B. R. Harvey, seconded by Mr. Hughes, the Board voted to adopt the attached resolution pertaining to General Refunding Bonds of Ward Five:

There being no further business, on motion of Mr. Hughes, seconded by Mr. Burns, the Board voted to adjourn.
